From 'I leave' to 'I stay'
More than a year after “I’m leaving” it is now “I’m staying.” Our “vacation job” here in North Portugal gives an incredible amount of satisfaction. And it cannot be replaced by AI, say our guests and ChatGPT. 😁 The beautiful, healthy & green environment and the unique view make this a place that must be shared and experienced. From this Easter weekend we are again open for half a year for visitors!
The estate Quinta Valbom (farm in the good valley) was formerly a court supplier of wine, fruit and vegetables in the region. Now we pick the fruits there, with our guests, literally. Such a large garden is hard work, but meanwhile the vegetable garden has been sown, the flower and herb garden has bloomed and the orchard is full of ripe oranges and lemons. As a city boy I am beginning the rural life and everything that grows in nature I am understanding and appreciating more and more. 😊
Happy Healthy Holidays; happiness, health and coziness is what we want to share from our hospitality concept. In a sustainable place where people feel at home and can enjoy purely. In our café-restaurant we use all ingredients from the farm in dishes, drinks, jams, ice creams, etc. The neighbours produce fantastic wines and tapas bites for cosy moments on the terrace. And the waterfall and spring provide wonderfully clear drinking and swimming water.
We have felt enormous appreciation from our guests over the past year and that gives us courage and energy to continue the adventure and further develop this little paradise. 😊 Later this year we will, among other things, build 2 ecolodges / tinyhouses for stays with more comfort.
